Huddle Advanced Settings
When creating a Huddle, hosts can configure a set of Advanced Settings that control how participants RSVP, how many people can join, and what other participants can see or do. These are separate from Advanced Features (currently just Carpooling) and from a Huddle's payment and refund details.
Decisive RSVPing
If enabled, participants must choose either Attend or Not Attend when responding to the Huddle — there is no maybe/tentative option. This is useful for hosts who need a firm headcount.
Require Approval
If enabled, participants who request to join are placed on a waiting list instead of being added immediately. The host (or a co-host) must manually approve or decline each participation request.
If this setting is off, participants who request to join (or who are allowed to join directly, depending on the Huddle's privacy level) are added without manual review.
Attendee Limit
Lets a host cap how many participants can join the Huddle. When enabled, the host enters a maximum number of attendees; once that limit is reached, no further participants can join.
Do Not Show Participants
Controls whether the participant list is visible to other participants. The host and any co-hosts can always see the full participant list — this setting only affects what other participants can see.
Allow Participant to Invite Their Connections
Controls whether participants (not just the host) can invite their own connections to the Huddle. If enabled, participants can bring in new people who weren't part of the original invite or audience — useful for organically growing a Huddle. If disabled, only the host controls who can be added beyond the Huddle's normal privacy/audience rules.
Allow Guests
Controls whether participants can bring guests with them to the Huddle, in addition to RSVPing themselves.
Where to find these settings
Advanced Settings appear on the Huddle creation screen, separate from Advanced Features (Carpooling) and from the Huddle's free/paid and refund policy settings. See About Huddles for an overview of all the options available when creating a Huddle, and Huddle Payments & Refunds for payment-specific details.
