Huddle Payments & Refunds

Attending a Huddle can be free or paid, depending on how the host sets it up. This article explains how paid Huddles work on MissionPeak, how payments and refunds are handled, and what to expect as a host or an attendee.

Free vs. paid Huddles

When creating a Huddle, the host decides whether attendance is free or paid. This is set as part of the Huddle's advanced options when the Huddle is created.

  • Free Huddles have no attendance cost — anyone who joins can attend at no charge.
  • Paid Huddles require attendees to pay a cost set by the host in order to attend.

Who sets the cost and refund policy

MissionPeak does not set, collect, or process attendance costs. For paid Huddles, the host — not MissionPeak — is responsible for:

  • Deciding the attendance cost.
  • Deciding the refund policy (for example, whether refunds are offered if an attendee cancels, or if the Huddle is changed or canceled).

If a host sets no refund policy, that means no refunds will be provided under any circumstance. If a host doesn't set a refund policy at all, this is treated the same as "no refunds" — no refund policy stated means no refund will be provided.

Attendees should check a Huddle's listed cost and refund policy before requesting to join, and should confirm both directly with the host before paying. Huddle details are entered by the host, and MissionPeak does not verify or guarantee their accuracy.

Supported currency

The only currency currently supported for Huddle attendance costs is US Dollars (USD).

How payment works: Direct, Cash or External

MissionPeak currently supports one payment method for paid Huddles: Direct, Cash or External.

This means:

  • Payment is made directly to the host — not through MissionPeak.
  • Payment can be made in cash or through any other external method the host and attendee agree on (for example, a payment app, bank transfer, or other arrangement outside of MissionPeak).
  • MissionPeak does not facilitate, collect, hold, or transmit any payment between attendees and hosts.

How refunds work

If a refund is due — whether because of the host's refund policy, a canceled Huddle, or any other reason — the refund is handled the same way as payment: directly between the host and the attendee, outside of MissionPeak.

MissionPeak does not process, issue, or guarantee refunds for Huddle attendance.

MissionPeak's role

MissionPeak provides the platform for hosts to list a Huddle's cost and for attendees to see that information before joining. MissionPeak is not involved in, and assumes no responsibility for, any payment or refund made between a host and an attendee, including:

  • Collecting or processing payments.
  • Resolving payment disputes.
  • Issuing or enforcing refunds.

Hosts and attendees are responsible for agreeing on payment and refund terms directly with each other.

Tips for hosts and attendees

  • Hosts: Clearly state the attendance cost, payment method expectations, and refund policy in your Huddle details before attendees join.
  • Attendees: Review the listed cost and refund policy before requesting to join a paid Huddle, and confirm payment details directly with the host.
  • Both: Keep your own records of any payments or refunds made outside of MissionPeak, since MissionPeak does not track or store payment transactions.
